Dr. Julian Gabbay
Dr. Julian Gabbay, DDS, MS is an endodontic specialist who divides his practice between Los Angeles and San Francisco while serving as a clinical instructor at the UCSF School of Dentistry. A Los Angeles native, he completed a BS in Human Biology and an MS in Stem Cell Biology & Regenerative Medicine at the University of Southern California before earning his DDS from NYU College of Dentistry. He then returned to California for a General Practice Residency and a rigorous Endodontic Residency at UCSF, where he was later appointed chief resident.
Clinically, Dr. Gabbay focuses on microscope-guided root-canal therapy, apical microsurgery, and regenerative endodontics. Drawing on his graduate work in stem-cell biology, he incorporates bioceramic materials, platelet-rich concentrates, and CBCT imaging to deliver biologically driven, minimally invasive care. His research—published in peer-reviewed journals—covers platelet concentrates in surgical healing, CBCT diagnostics, and guided tissue regeneration, reflecting a commitment to advancing evidence-based endodontics.
Patients and referring dentists appreciate Dr. Gabbay’s precision and clear communication. Fluent in English, Spanish, Hebrew, and Farsi, he explains complex procedures in everyday language and tailors treatment to each patient’s comfort and goals. His patient-first philosophy is matched by meticulous technique, ensuring rapid pain relief and long-term tooth preservation.
Away from the operatory, Dr. Gabbay stays active on the golf course, follows fitness routines on weekend mornings, and is an avid Los Angeles Lakers fan who rarely misses a home game. This balance of professional dedication and personal passion helps him connect with patients and colleagues alike, bringing warmth and approachability to every appointment.
